3 Cases Report of Oral Lichen Planus

Abstract
Biopsy specimens from three cases of Oral Lichen Planus were stained by histopathological technique; and histochemical technique to demonstrate P. A. S. The all lesions appeared on the buccal mucosa of molar portion and it also revealed typical Wickham¢¥s striae.
Histopathology;
The granular layer showed prominent, slight acanthosis with irregularly lengthened rete pegs were observed and also showed saw tooth form.
The basal cell layer has been destroyed at some area by the infiltrated inflammatory cells. The infiltrated cells consisted of almost entirely of lymphocytes which were showed band-like form in the epidermis and sharply demarcated at its lower border. The basement membrane and the prickle cell layer appeared thickened and P. A. S. positive reaction.
